Israel Taunts Iran With Facebook Photo Upload
‘We agreed no cameras!’ Claims Ahmadenijhad
Tensions rose in the Middle East yesterday when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a photo of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with visible acne and a double chin on Facebook.
The photo, which included the caption, ‘Oh no, somebody’s not wearing foundation today, ROFL!!’ was posted and tagged at 8.07pm GMT on Sunday evening.
President Ahmedinejhad then commented underneath at 9.11pm: ‘OMG! I can’t believe you put this on fb, you have to take it down! Srsly x’.
The photo caused a flurry of diplomatic activity across the Middle East as Syria commented immediately, ‘Israel, that’s mean, take it down!’ Egypt also made a statement, declaring the photo, ‘The Pimple’s Republic of Iran! Lololol.’
For reasons that remain unclear, Zimbabwe commented soon afterwards; ‘Ahmedinejad…UNLUCKY BRO!!’… Iran broke its’ silence to comment, ‘Shut up Zimbabwe, you dick, this has nothing to do with you.’
As conflict escalated, Iranian officials posted photo of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu with hummus on his face. Lebanon liked this.
Palestinian organization Hamas, commented: ‘Israel, you look like such a mess, I don’t even recognize you in this photo!!’ Hamas does not recognize Israel in any photos, maps or official documents.
By 10.51pm diplomatic tensions in the region had cooled. America urged calm in the region and said that diplomatic routes must be pursued, although Facebook deactivation does remain on the table as a possible option.
A spokesperson for China said, ‘What’s Facebook?’
