The smile meant that this tube carriage had to be evacuated.

A WOMAN smiled at a man on a District line train at Eight-Thirty-Six am, half-way between Earls Court and Gloucester Road, yesterday, causing chaos. The woman, described as ‘good-looking’, was said to be ‘unaware’ of the tube code of conduct when the smile occurred.

NHS In High Court Battle For Right To Take Its Own Life

Ealing Hospital: ‘I want to be one of the first to go’


THE NATIONAL Health Service today begins a battle in the High Court to establish a legal right to be helped to end its own life. Many now believe it would be most humane to let the NHS die with dignity.

The physician in charge of the patient’s care, Dr A. Lansley, has lent his full support to this legal battle, stating ‘If anyone cares how the NHS is to die, it’s me.’ He added. ‘I believe that the NHS should be allowed to die with dignity’.
